Lifted Chevy Trucks For Sale – After more than a quarter of a century, the pickup model finally returned to the Jeep brand. In 2020 the Jeep Gladiator made its debut last Wednesday at the 2018 LA Auto Show, and surprisingly with class load withdrawal and 4×4 load numbers to go with Jeep’s decent off-road capability, inspired Wrangler aesthetics and surprisingly complementary technological features.
Not only Fiat Chrysler Automobiles showcased Gladiators in the form of trace-spec Rubicon and cheaper trims, even showing off variants loaded with Mopar accessories – around $ 8,000 worth of additional toys. Jeep Wranglers are one of the most personalized vehicles on the market, so this strategy seems very smart.

Versus Wrangler is currently a limitless four-door SUV model, the new Gladiator frame is stretched 31 inches with a wheelbase that is 19.4 inches longer. The suspension consists of a lateral and four control arms extending in front along with the Wrangler, while the rear rides on the suspension coil are five exclusive links for Jeep pickups to enhance driving comfort on the road.
At launch, the Gladiator will be powered by a 3.6 liter Pentastar V6 which makes 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. It comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission and four-wheel drive on all trim levels. Eight-speed automatic is optional. Jeep claims it will offer a class leading crane capacity of up to 7,650 pounds and a 4×4 payload of up to 1,600 pounds.
Those interested in a little more grunt might want to survive until 2020 when a turbocharged 3.0-liter diesel is scheduled to join a lineup that offers 260 horses and 442 tortuous pound-feet. Unlike a gas engine, diesel will only be offered with eight automatic speeds.
As a Jeep, the Gladiator offers all the hardware needed to handle off-road expeditions starting from a pair of 4×4 systems, Dana 44 axle, front axle and rear axle electric, limited skid plate and slippage. The Rubicon model connects things upward with a 4.10 axle, enhances suspension and travel articulation, Fox shocks, electronic hull swings, steel rear bumpers and cabin protectors and cargo bed rails and 33-inch tires. Rubicon can run until 35 inches of rubber without lift, is equipped with a front camera capable of displaying anything less than two feet in front of the truck and equipped with a front and winch-ready steel bumper.
This gladiator has an approach angle of 43.6 degrees, a breakover angle of 20.3 degrees, a departure angle of 26 degrees, ground clearance of 11.1 inches and capable of reaching up to 30 inches of water. Even though there is a long wheelbase, there are still many off-road capabilities here.
From a design standpoint, the inspiration of the Wrangler’s design is clear, with circular headlights, seven slot grille and square taillights. The Wrangler’s open air capability also makes a leap to the Gladiator with removable aluminum doors, soft or available hardtops and a foldable windshield.
The rear out is a five-foot steel bed featuring an integrated tie down, lighting under the rails available with spray sheets, a 115-volt three-prong plug and a tonneau cover. The side of the bed box is left low with the aim of making it easy to reach for loading or unloading items. The three-position, moist tailgate in the middle of the arrangement matches the top of the rear wheel housing and allows the Gladiator to carry 20 sheets of 4×8 flatwall or drywall. Gladiators may not be as heavy as something like a Ford Ranger or Toyota Tacoma, but there are still significant utilities offered.
Heading inside, the layout inspired by the relics offers a horizontal dash with a trapezoidal tip, lots of storage cubbies, rubber-coated contact points, and original metal-plated trim pieces. For more premium shades, the Overland model receives an instrument panel wrapped in a stitch accent.
The rear seating area reflects Wrangler Unlimited for the leading segment legroom with a foldable seat to provide a flat load surface and access to a safe storage area behind the seat back. Fold the back seat cushion up and open open storage with special compartments to hold the bolt safely when the door or top is removed and the windshield is folded. Lockable storage with removable dividers available as an option.
Infotainment spearheading is a fourth generation Uconnect system with a 5-, 7- or 8.4-inch touch screen depending on the trim level. Both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities are standard with navigation that comes with an 8.4 inch screen.
To improve safety, the Gladiator will offer adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic warning and backup cameras with dynamic grid lines.
Jeep Gladiator 2020 pickup trucks are sold during the second quarter of 2019 and will be available on Sport, Sport S, Overland and Rubicon trim levels. We hope to drive it soon.
