265 75R16 Truck Tires, P-METRIC TIRES CAN’T HANG ON THE TRAIL WITH MICKEY THOMPSON BAJA MTZ P3 LIGHT TRUCK (LT) TIRES-New trucks are better than ever. Options such as Raptor, Colorado ZR2 and Tacoma TRD off-road offer many road functions. While the Raptor equipped KO2 Off-Road BFGoodrich and Colorado ZR2 with Goodyear Duratracs, Tacoma is equipped with Goodyear Wrangler all-terrain adventure. These steps are not only incredibly pathetic, but also p-metric. Know what P represents? Passengers. Yes, it is true, car tires.
We understand why Toyota does it. P-Metric tires are simpler and have a lower rolling resistance than LT tires. They therefore offer better fuel economy. It is not reassuring to find an apartment in the middle of nothing. Fortunately, the tires are easier to install on the truck than a minimum operation or a limited slip differential. Since our original tires were smoked, it’s time to replace the tires that are not only a bit bigger and more aggressive, but also much stronger than the P-Metric tires.
We developed from metric P to P3 in the form of the P3 MTZ bass from Mickey Thompson with three layers. Mickey Thompson The low decision MTZ P3 was simple. In the past we used these tires on different trucks, we found them surprisingly quiet, and we never had a flat tire on one side of Mickey Thompson. The size of the Tacoma TRD Off-Road 2016 is 265 / 70R16, which corresponds to a height of 30.6 inches. We have decided to be a bit bigger Mickey Thompson MTZ LT350 / 75R16 P3, which suits our factory-free wheels. Mickey Thompson offers Baja MTZ P3 in 30 sizes up to 40 inches, so there is probably one that fits your application.

Of course there is no free lunch. These larger and more aggressive tires are 55% more weight than standard tires: 54 pounds compared to 35. The extra weight has a modest effect on acceleration and braking and had a greater impact on the tire’s economy. Flammable. With the new Baja MTZ P3, our mileage is reduced by an average of 21 miles per gallon on the 18th, we traded a few miles to the gallon for stronger tires with greater grip, without the need for changes in our truck, settling on the rails. But as they say, your number of kilometers can vary. The design of the Mickey Thompson side of the PowerPly is much stronger than the two-layer walls of P-metric bands. The rigid side wall provides better handling, greater resistance to bumps and bruises and more load capacity. The main characteristic of Ricky Thompson is its side-by-side four-step model. It is even more resistant to corrosion and offers extra traction when it is aired on the track. We love our Tacoma, especially in the off-road TRD version. The truck was comfortable and capable, but the tires were a limiting factor on the ground. After they removed the original tires, we finally had an excuse to go on a series of Mickey Thompson tires: capacity P-Metric tires is 2,469 pounds with a maximum pressure of 51 psi. LT Mickeys has a nominal capacity of 3,415 – 80 with a load of almost 1,000 pounds per tire. This is well above the BDV of the TDV. Increasing capacity has costs. Each Baja MTZ P3 weighs 19 pounds more than the factory tire that replaces it. This extra weight in combination with a slightly negative influence on fuel consumption. The new Baja MTZ P3 tires are 1.3 centimeters larger than the replacement tires. This height difference fills the bow of the wheel without the need to add a suspension or lift. We even managed to keep the wheels of the factory. The sculpture MTZ P3 is designed for self-cleaning with large cavities and slanted horns. The mixture is reinforced with silica gel to improve performance on wet roads and paths ……………
