Food Trucks For Sale In Alabama – Waffle House has a little-known menu option that expands the kingdom’s reach of 24/7 breakfasts: food trucks. The Atlanta-based catering chain restaurant chain added a food truck five years ago, but its presence has recently received national attention.
Several media outlets throughout the country made coverage of the appearance of trucks at a June wedding at Columbia, S.C., and photos of vehicles in red, yellow and black with the inscription “Waffle House” spread on social media.

Waffle House, which has around 1,900 restaurants in 25 states, decided to get food trucks for catering because Atlanta area restaurants have so many catering requests.
“It’s very busy,” said Pat Warner, director of public relations and external affairs. “It really took off. I tried to get it for Waffle House events and I had to order it months in advance. They would do three or four marriages a day.”
To rent a truck, based in Atlanta, customers put a $ 90 rental fee and pay $ 50 per hour for travel time and duration of the event – be it a birthday party, wedding or company. The big event, which hopes to pay more than $ 1,000 for waffles, omelet, and other dishes, requires a 50 percent deposit up front.
At the scene, the chefs in the truck prepare whatever dishes your heart wants. And long distance trips for events outside Georgia can include the cost of lodging a truck team.
And the truck is traveling. The Waffle House has sent the truck several times to various events in Florida. And the truck also provides free food to residents when the August 2016 flood closes Waffle House in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
The truck is a regular truck in Auburn, Alabama, where it was a hit among Auburn University football teams. “Auburn soccer coach is a big fan of the Waffle House, so they will take him and serve the football team, as a present for them,” Warner said. “They have done that for the past few years.”
The Waffle House even sent trucks to the construction site to repair the collapsing 85 year old Interstate bridge, and every Thanksgiving truck feeds homeless people in Atlanta.
The company plans some surprising performances for trucks September 2-8 for National Waffle Week, especially around Atlanta regional colleges, Warner said. Recently, the truck “was driving on the road to be established here in Georgia Tech by the brotherhood and it was like an ice cream truck, they chased it on the road,” he said. “That is good.”
With the recent wave of attention on social media, even more people are ordering trucks, so if you have the idea that you want the appearance of the Waffle House food truck this holiday season, Warner said, “I’ll tell people trying to order for months beforehand because it’s fast ordering. ”
All attention to having a restaurant chain considers adding a second food truck. “We are thinking of adding a fleet,” Warner said.
That might come as a welcome addition to the many Waffle House-heads on Twitter who are very happy with the food truck. “TIME MUST LIVE” said Alison Croghan, a TV journalist and meteorologist in Salt Lake City who attended the University of Mississippi.
