Diesel Trucks For Sale In Indiana – New General Motors trucks roll in. The new 2019 GMC Sierra Denali design and 2019 Chevrolet Silverado pickup that trickled into many dealers this week. GM introduced new trucks earlier this year and began sending them to showrooms a few weeks ago.

GMC Sierra Denali and SLT models – two GMC premium pickups – were built at the GM assembly plant in Fort Wayne, Indiana. GM began pickup shipments from factories about two weeks ago, said Kelly Wysocki, a GMC spokesman.

AT4, the next premium Sierra behind the Denali and SLT versions, will begin shipping to dealers in “the next few months,” he said.

“This is the model requested by the buyer,” said Wysocki. “More than 75 percent of the crew cabins we sell are Denali and SLT models, so we think we will launch them first.”

Sierra is a big seller for GMC. At the end of the second quarter, GMC had sold 100,874 Sierra pickups, up 1.7 percent from the same period in 2017, GM reported.

In 2017, around 18 percent of Sierras’s sales were Denali trim, according to data from Cox Automotive.

Chevrolet sold 291,074 Silverados, up 10.7 percent from the previous year, GM said.

By comparison, the Ford F-Series, the biggest competitor in the pickup segment, sold 451,138 vehicles during the second quarter, up 4.9 percent from the previous year period.

Sales have entered

GMC sold its first 2019 Sierra Denali on August 9 at Olathe, Kansas, south of Kansas City, at Robert Brogden Buick GMC, said Wysocki.

Denali is the top premium pickup in the Sierra range. Denali’s two-wheel-drive starts at $ 54,700, not including the $ 1,495 destination fee, said Wysocki.

Cox Automotive said the average transaction price in 2018 for Sierra 1500 to date was $ 51,794 for all trims and $ 58,738 for Denali trim.

On Monday, Farmington Hills dealer Sellers Buick GMC received the first Sierra Denali pickup in red, said Seller owner Sam Slaughter. It’s still available, but Black Denali arrives Wednesday and is sold that day. The seller has other Denali which are sold according to order, he said.

“We have a lot of good customer feedback,” Slaughter said. “The buzz is amazing.”

The seller has 10 Sierra Denali picnics ordered from the factory, which Slaughter hopes will arrive in four to six weeks, he said.

“We love to have it,” said Slaughter. “GM has assured us that prices will be in line with competitors.”

Slaughter has around 50 of the 2018 Sierra pickups in stock for sale when he waits for the redesigned 2019 arrival. He said GM offered good purchase and rental transactions on the 2018 models. As for the new 2019, he expects strong sales to be driven by innovative technology in the new Denali, he said.

“It’s amazing technology in this truck,” said Slaughter. “A blind spot and traffic warning … the most unique thing about it is the back door, you can open it in a different way. No one else has it.”

A tailgate is not like the others

Indeed, Tailgate MultiPro is not like the others out there, agrees Rebecca Lindland, executive analyst with Kelley Blue Book. Lindland recently tested the relief of the Sierra Denali pickup which was valued at $ 65,000, which it said was a typical price point that businesses would spend on work pickups.

Tailgate MultiPro has six unique functions that allow various loading options and can even be folded into standing workstations and allow easier access to items in the box.

“It’s truly extraordinary and innovative,” Lindland said. “There are no other trucks, even Silverado, that offers it. It will really make the truck stand out.”

Dealer Sam Slaughter said sales staff were promoting truckloads to customers.

GMC initially launched Sierra Denali in 2001. Body style is currently being introduced in 2014 and refreshed in 2016, said Wysocki.

This next generation “sets new standards with unparalleled progress and exclusive design,” said Rich Latek, GMC’s marketing director. “It offers more high-class promises, technology and capabilities aimed at – strengthening Denali as the best in the professional class.”

GMC ads for 2019 Sierra will likely not start until early next year due to the slow launch for pickups to shops, Wysocki said.

Silverado arrived

Chevrolet began shipping Silverado pickups, also assembled at GM’s Fort Wayne factory, to dealers on July 30 in a so-called “staggered launch,” Monte Doran, a spokesman for Chevrolet.

“The first production trucks are the most popular: crew cabin, V8 model – LT trim and above,” Doran said in an email. “At the end of this year, we will expand production to include taxis, models and other engines.”

He said the 3.0L Duramax diesel will begin production in early 2019.

At George Matick Chevrolet in Redford “some of the 2019 Silverados” arrived in stock about a week ago, said Molly Williams, COO of Matick Auto Group. He wasn’t sure how many had been sold.

The 2019 Silverado LT cabin crew short box pickup with 4X4 will be bigger, more capable and more fuel efficient, but has a starting price of stickers around $ 700 less than the outgoing model.

The initial price was $ 44,095, down from $ 44,795. Despite lower prices, the Silverado LT 2019 crew cabin offers new standard equipment including a new 2.7-liter turbo engine with 22 percent torque more than the 4.3-liter V6 engine it replaces, eight-speed automatic transmission, stop-start technology and active aero shutters.

Chevrolet has taken up to 450 pounds from 2019 Silverado compared to the model that came out through “advanced manufacturing and the use of mixed materials,” the company said.

Doran said, “We haven’t announced the time for the launch of advertising / marketing.”
