Toyota Diesel Truck For Sale, TuSimple Partners With Cummins to Expand Autonomous Trucking Program in 2019-
TuSimple continues his journey with the autonomous guide. Last year TuSimple started with the transport of goods with prototypes of autonomous trucks in Arizona. At CES in 2019, he announced his intention to expand these operations. The launch is also in collaboration with Cummins to integrate its autonomous propulsion technology into the truck’s drive group.
According to the launch, TuSimple autonomous trucks transport three to five trips per day on three routes in Arizona. TuSimple Fleet currently consists of 11 trucks and the commission has 12 purchasing customers. By June 2019 the fleet will expand to 40 trucks. At the beginning of 2019 a new route will be created between Arizona and Texas. TuSimple claims that it is the only company that organizes daily goods travels with autonomous trucks.
“We send real cargoes for real couriers,” says Chuck Price, TuSimple Product Manager at The Drive. TuSimple does not intend to work in the long term on freight transport or the construction of its own trucks. She wants to sell his range of technologies autonomous driving from other companies, and the price is convinced that the use of a truck in a real commercial transport department is crucial to show that this technology is ready for debut.

“We want the first commercial system to be the driver and we need millions of miles,” says Price, adding that the independent auditor checked all autonomous variety TuSimple trucks.
Thanks to current routes, trucks can travel within a day. Trucks drive between the warehouse. This avoids the cities in the interior, but Price emphasizes that routes always involve a mix of road and road behavior and that trucks can bridge the entire distance without human intervention. Currently, long journeys are excluded because they have problems with fuel loading and an increased risk of non-payment, said Price. I can not park the trucks because it does not matter to the shipowners, Price said. He added that autonomous parking can be added.
The trucks themselves are standard models equipped with a unique combination of TuSimple sensors. Cameras, radar and LiDAR are the sacred trinity of autonomous sensors, but TuSimple is mostly based on cameras. Radar and LiDAR act as ‘secondary sensors’, Price said. Lidar, which is basically similar to radar, but uses light instead of radio waves, has no range for driving large trucks on the road, says Price. However, TuSimple is dependent on the camera and says that its system to “see” up to 1,000 meters for the vehicle which clearly exceeds their systems might have competitive advice.
For the truck to run alone, it is not enough to deliver cameras. That is why TuSimple works with Cummins. The launch requires a way to drive large diesel engines in trucks without sacrificing complex exhaust emissions, says Price. He believes that the ability of companies such as Cummins to produce compatible hardware to determine a large number of autonomous trucks, but TuSimple expects to set up a commercial system for two years.
TuSimple encountered Waymore competition above, in order to implement the technology of their autonomous machines for heavy vehicles, as well as the Swedish start-up company Einride, who wants to build its own autonomous trucks without cabins. Controversial startup Anthony úvěr / Waymore Anthony Levandowskog, Pronto.ai, claims to be focused on the truck, but his only tangible product so far is autonomous off-road SUV, which controls Levandowski Toyota Prius that changes ……
