Pickup Truck Hoist, Crane to lift truck into Sterling Commons courtyard-This month, in 1939, a large crane led to a red Ford truck at the Sterling Commons shipyard. The event will put the old truck in the middle of the campus so that residents, families and staff can enjoy the car for years, says Victorville Memorial Director Debra Newlin.”The truck was from North Dakota and it was a fire truck,” Newlin said. “The truck is currently in Olympia, Washington, but soon it is owned by Sterling Commons.”
Every Koelsch network structure has old “health and vehicle entertainment” for the elderly, Newlin said.”Old cars, old music, and works of art are some of the things that remind the elderly about their past,” Newlin told Daily Press. “Parents’ short-term memory is over and many of them have already begun to live, the new load will bring back memories for the younger days.”
Last year, Sterling Commons organized a solo exhibition for residents of old cars, where dozens of older members drove and returned in time.”We had a classic Vespa scooter near a quarter of Sterling inside the 60s,” said Newlin. “Vespa is a conversation.”
